April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American, is among a select group of women who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. Alix klineman, who is competing for the first time in Tokyo's Olympics, will try to earn her third Olympic medal. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic gold. There is a chance that it is her last chance, at 39 years old. She is still confident nevertheless. Ross through NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing very well, or even at all, they could win a gold. It's also going to be a matter of chance. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and her sister. Ross's athletic endeavors began at Newport Harbor High School where she was a part of a number of activities. She played basketball and ran track in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. While she did well at indoor volleyball but it was apparent that her abilities were higher than average. When she played in her college volleyball season as per her college biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. Thanks to her hard work she was awarded in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her for volleyball. Ross and Klineman formed the partnership in 2017, but Ross had been a beach-scene star for years before. She actually won several major championships while playing with two different partners, one of whom is an icon of volleyball. In the period 2007 to 2013 she teamed alongside Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Together, Kessy Ross was an ace on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. In 2012, the duo took silver in London's Olympic Games. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team and Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. The pair were able to win bronze in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross started her college professional career playing for the Trojans of USC following graduation from high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross made her debut on the beach and became a professional. The Trojans had a great performance for Ross during her time at the school. In 2000 she was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman Of The Year, and was also an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans get to their first Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss during her sophomore year, however, she was successful in achieving the All-American distinction. In her last two years of participation in the Trojans program, she guided the Trojans to winning a national title each year. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the United States through the Honda Sports Award. Ross was an international relations student at USC. Margie Ross didn't get to witness Ross achieve beach volleyball's top level. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer when she was in her sophomore year at USC. Ross holds her mother close to her heart. Margie is a beach lover as well as in her everyday life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
